Engineered for efficiency, reliability, and scalable industrial performance

Korrell Industries provides complete solutions for converting Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) into high-density briquettes and pellets, tailored for industrial fuel applications.

What This System Does

System Overview

Our EFB densification systems are designed to convert raw or pre-processed Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) into uniform, high-density briquettes or pellets suitable for biomass boilers and industrial energy applications.

The system integrates material handling, size reduction, drying, and densification processes into a complete, optimized production line.

Process Flow

The production line typically consists of the following stages:

  • Raw EFB Feeding System

Handling of single-pressed or shredded EFB from palm oil mills

  • Size Reduction (Shredding / Crushing)

Ensures consistent particle size for downstream processing

  • Drying System

Reduces moisture content to optimal levels for densification

  • Densification (Briquetting / Pelletizing)

Compression of biomass into high-density fuel form

  • Cooling & Discharge

Stabilization and handling of finished product

Design Basis

Each system is engineered based on specific project requirements, including:

  • Feedstock type (single-pressed / shredded EFB)
  • Moisture content (typically 40–50% incoming)
  • Required plant capacity (e.g., 2–5 TPH or higher)
  • End-use application (boiler fuel, export pellet, etc.)
  • Site layout and operational constraints

EFB Briquette

Key System Components

The production line typically consists of the following stages:

  • Material Handling System

Chain conveyors, screw conveyors, storage bins

  • Drying System

Rotary dryers / patented screw dryers / customized drying solutions

  • Densification System

    Briquette presses / pellet mills

  • Heat Generation System

Biomass burner or natural gas burner

  • Dust Control System

Cyclone / bag filter / multicyclone / ESP / wet scrubber
